As regards the base tower construction; work is already underway. The Base Tower will support both clocks which would hang on opposite ends. It measures more than 8ft in length abt 0.5ft in thickness. It is made of a mixture of casted concrete, marble and sand. Finishing on the tower is to be done upon completion to enhance its beauty.
A trip to Ibadan – Part 2
Committee members made their way down to our Alma Mata to present the clock to the Commandant. We also took our sculptor/mason to the site where the mini clock tower is to be erected.
Another fun part of the trip was the brief meeting we had with the School’s PTA EXCO led by its Chairman; Mr Oritola. The PTA EXCOs commended our initiative and also showed us their own project-in-the-works; an ultra mordern computer lab to house 150computers. They advised we keep it up and also involve other sets in our good deeds.
The project is expected to be completed before our reunion in December.
Our Clock is here!
